Child Care Resource & Referral
The DEAP Child Care Resource and Referral Program determines eligibility for Best Beginnings, Montana’s child care financial assistance program, provides referrals to licensed and registered child care facilities, trains child care providers, and advocates for child care services in the communities located in a 12 county area. The Miles City office covers Carter, Custer, Fallon, Powder River, Rosebud, and Treasure counties; and the Glendive office covers Dawson, Garfield, Prairie, McCone, Richland, and Wibaux counties.
How to access services?
Family Services: Any family can receive referrals to licensed or registered childcare facilities in the Glendive and Miles City service areas. Families who meet the eligibility requirements for the Best Beginnings Scholarship Program may receive assistance from this program.
Provider Services: A facility must be registered or licensed by the state to be placed on the referral list. All providers are welcome to participate in orientation, training and technical assistance services.
